i purchased something last week and have been sent this item twice do i have to send it back??

You don't have to send it back, you could offer to pay for the one they mistakenly sent you.
But you shouldn't be out of pocket for returning it, ask them to send you a pre-paid postage slip to go on the packet.0 -
You have a duty of care with the item and must reasonably make the item available for collection.0
