Online Check in Ryanair?!

Morning all. Wondered if someone could help me. We're flying to Portugal next Friday (23rd) with Ryanair. Checked in online yesterday to print our boarding passes, but it would only give us our outbound passes. We called my mother in law (they booked our flights as we are holidaying with them) and she said that we can't print the return flight until 30 hours before the flight?!?!?!
Does anyone know if this is correct? Seems a bit strange that we're expected to find a internet cafe to print the passes!
We're staying in Albuiferia so it won't be a problem, but am i the only one that thinks this is a !!!! take? Or am i being really thick and missing something really obvious about checking in for the return flight?!:rotfl:

I don't think thats right. I mean, your tickets are booked, so why should you wait 30hours before it to print them?? If they were posting them to you, you would have them a few weeks before hand!
Never flew with Ryanair, but have just booked with Easyjet, and printed off both sets of boarding passes last week, fly out 1st October.
xCan't think of anything smart to put here...0 -
We flew with ryan air about 3 weeks ago and printed both outbound and return tickets about 2 days before we went, so the 30 hours thing is defo rubbish
When we printed all of them opened together and it prints one ticket for one person on each page (so for 2 people on return flight you will get 4 A4 pages print). 0 -
we just flew with them and we printed out inward and outward tickets at same time0

I thought it was really strange, but there is absolutely no option to view/print the return boarding pass. My MIL says she had to do this a few months ago, and seems to think it's becasue Ryanair are trying to catch passengers out whom forget to print them and then charge them £40 at the airport to print them.
I wonder if it's to do with the timing? You can check in 'X' amount of days before the flight, which is standard for any airline, so i wonder if we can only check in for the return flight 'X' number of days before?! If you kbow what i mean?! :rotfl::oGetting married 23rd June 2012!!:o0 -

It's more than 15 days til our return flight. Maybe thats why?!:oGetting married 23rd June 2012!!:o0 -
I must say this sounds slightly odd although I have never tried to print Ryanair boarding passes quite so long in advance as the OP is attempting - it is still eleven days before the outbound flight. When I have used Ryanair for a fortnight's break (two or three times since the online only checkin was introduced) then I have printed the boarding passes maybe just two or three days ahead of the outbound, generally so that I still had the option of adding a bag at the last minute.
The OP doesn't say how long the trip is but I assume no more than 14 or 15 days?
An just to clarify, and I suppose this almost goes without saying, but were the outbound and return flights booked on the same booking reference?0 -
I had this problem 2 years ago when flying to Spain with Ryanair. I had to find an internet cafe to print the return boarding passes.
I also think it's a scam to get extra money out of people who forget.0 -
So, 12 days to our departure flight, 22 days to our return flight. By my calculations, if i log back in on or around the 18th I should be able to get the return boarding pass?
Stupid-ness! :rotfl::oGetting married 23rd June 2012!!:o0
