backup your phone using Samsung's PC software then do a factory reset on the phone and see if it's any quicker...

What kind of noise? You mean the little ticks for when you press a letter, or "thinking" noise that it shouldn't be making?
Is it 3 mths from new, or second hand?0 -

The software is called "KIES"
Get it here:

I'd try a factory reset of the phone, it should not me making any noise except for a small click (To let you know you've pressed a letter).Laters
