Windows XP Pro 64 bit install disc - can anybody help?

My first ever post asking for help!!! I need to do a clean XP Professional install on a 64 bit machine but don't have the disc in my collection. I have a 32 bit version, but if there is somewhere I can download a 64 bit ISO bootable version please let me know.

  • If you spend a few minutes searching you'll find a torrent for this (I mean an unhacked, unpatched original for which you'll need a legitimate product key)

I wouldn't want one that didn't need a COA to work, it's just a relatively rare install disk to have as not many machines ever really used Xp-64. Always handy to plug a gap in your arsenal if&when you get chance, as the OP has found out :)

  • Hello all, thanks very much for the replies. I've got what I need now thanks to some very helpful forum members. Yes, it is very rare to find a machine with a 64 bit XP system and it's sods law that one ended up with me!!
  • why does it need to have xp64 on it again? xp64 was never very well supported - probably better to just install windows 7

That would mean buying a Win 7 x64 licence.
Maybe the XP machine had more than 4gb of RAM so used a 64bit version of XP.
  • Is it a branded machine?
