For our mortgage alone we are 15% with all bills/food included we are 30% of joint income. We have money left for savings and nights out etc but now have a wedding to think about too :D

We are comfortable right now and have budgeted for intrest base rates rising from 0.5% to 5% over the next few years. Hopefully they don't rise that fast but hey they are only going to go one way!
  • 20% normally. 40% with over payment.
  • Currently between 20 to 25% (income isn't totally fixed) used to be 33% when the interest rates were higher.
