Password Protect Files and Folders Securely

Hi,

Is there any way to password protect files and folders on my laptop?

Im currently using windows vista

Whats the best way (or program) for doing this? Must be secure

    As said you'll struggle to find anything free which is more secure than Truecrypt. You don't password protect/files and folders as such with truecrypt. They are stored in a password protected well encrypted container, alternatively you can encrypt a full drive including the OS.

    did you have any sucess with this software? Was it easy to use?
    Problem with having access to internet is that i get asked by many to solve their problems :( Well at least i learn something on the way :D

  • Right Click the Folder and select properties. Go to Advanced and select make this folder as private. This is the easiest method to protect any file.
