When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.:D

Gooood morning and here we are with another week - what a dark, wet start today though...yuk:p
Hope you all had a lovely weekend - it went too fast of course, could do with another lie in:)

Ok, better get my list done:
  • check banking
  • check onepoll
  • packed lunch for dd2, lunch at home for me
  • meal from plan tonight - chicken pasta bake
  • washing on quickwash then on airer
  • wrap ebay sale and post
  • hoover downstairs
  • NSD
That's all I can think of - same old, same old I know:o
Have a great day:beer:
I really need to sort out a new signature!

    Morning all!

Thanks Pixie for starting the thread and hellloooooo to all that follow!

Back to work today after 4 lovely days in Devon, spent faaaaaar too much though, may have been cheaper to go abroad after all!

So, back on the DFW-y track today.

    I will:
    • Check banking and assess the damage
    • Rejig budget after above damage assessment...
    • NSD probably!
    • Check CC
    • Check TCB
    • Check how much I owe in Paypal fees/how much is in Paypal
    • Sort out the Christmas presents received whilst we were away so I know exactly where I am with everyone
    • Withdraw £10 from bank to 'top up' my service money that I accidently dipped into whilst we were away!
    • Send thank you card to owners of cottage
    • 2lts of water
    • Work hard - full week - lame!!
    • Smile!

    Morning all,

Thanks Pixie for starting us off, I could definitely do with a lie in too, ho hum.
KJP - Glad you had a good time in Devon. I know it's crazy to think it costs the same to go abroad as it does to stay in the Country these days.
Yorkshire Belle - I know what you mean, the wind sounds awful here! Glad I can drive in today.

    Today's plan:-

    • [strike]Use freebie deodorant[/strike]
    • [strike]Use freebie moisturiser [/strike]- have had to cut open the tube now but there's actually a lot in there still - can't believe I just used to throw these things away rather than cut them open!
    • [STRIKE]Charge phone at work[/STRIKE]
    • [strike]Make use of free water/milk/coffee at work[/strike]
    • [strike]Stay in at lunchtime to avoid spending[/strike]
    • [strike]Food from stores[/strike]
    • [STRIKE]Dinner from meal plan[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Check for surveys[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Enter competitions[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Check online banking[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Check out this week's flylady thread[/STRIKE] & do something
    • [STRIKE]Read Martin's email again as I didn't get round to this yesterday either...[/STRIKE]
    • Work on some wedding related stuff
    • [STRIKE]Take refillable water bottle to polenastics & get a lift there hopefully, may end up having to drive tonight[/STRIKE]
Have a great, MSE day everyone x
