I've just been given a mac as a present and am looking to keep track of my budget on it. Does anyone have a suggestion for free (or under £10 if it's worth it) software for the mac that's quite user friendly. I'm looking for something that i could also has an app for the iPhone so i could enter my expenses while out and about. any suggestions appreciated.

thanks for the advice. i'm considering getting numbers anyway although i've heard of compatibility problems with opening excel sheets so might be tempted to just get MS office for mac. I was also looking for separate finance specific software though so any other ideas would be appreciated.0

My OH uses a US edn of Quicken. The UK version is no longer available, but she liked Quicken from our PC days, so I bought that instead. If you are not doing international currency conversions, the dollar signs shoud not bother you.
It won't run on Lion though-Power PC only under Rosetta. No free lunch, and no free laptop
