Hi Guys
Can anyone suggest which is the best place to buy the fitted wardrob
I m thinking of having sliding wardrobe in one bedroom and normal door wardrobe in another
can anyone suggest how much will it cost (approx)?
Is it better idea to get it done by carpenter?
thanks in advance

The cost will vary depending on exactly what type of solution you want (ie full carcase, front frame construction) and how much space you intend to fill with wardrobes. You're probably looking at somewhere around a couple of grand, though without knowing your exact requirements it's difficult to say.
We've just had quotes from both Sharps (https://www.sharps.co.uk) and Hammonds (https://www.hammonds-uk.com) and whilst we expected Sharps to be cheaper based on what we'd heard beforehand, not only were Hammonds actually cheaper, but they were far more flexible, and designed a solution that better fitted our needs. We're therefore planning to place an order with Hammonds imminently.
One thing we've found though - Sharps and Hammonds (and presumably others too) have different standard sizes for their units, so the best price you'll find will depend on the space they have to work with - because Sharps' units didn't fit the space we've got as well as Hammonds' did, it meant they had to propose a different solution which ended up much more expensive, without any real benefits to it (in fact it wasn't anywhere near as good).0 -
we're getting a sliding door, full length wardrobe for about £900 using a local carpenter/custom wardrobe bloke. Wall is about 11ft long it will cover and has various shelving/hanging rails as we specified0

We used Avanti and were satisified with both the quality and cost.0

I second Ikea's PAX wardrobes. I had them installed like a fitted wardrobe across one whole wall and they look fab. I did get a good carpenter to put them together (don't trust Ikea screws or too much of my DIY) very sturdy and I imagine much cheaper than anywhere else that specialises in them.0
