Selling Std Life Shares Thru Computershare

Some help please amigos,

Sold the shares I got thru Standard LIfe demutralisation last week online using Comptuershare - I dont think i have a share certificate (I have a share account statement), the stuff i have from standard life says my shares were held in a standard life share account.

Selling the shares online went thru easily and yesterday i got a letter from computershare with the details and settlement instructions - it says what to do if you had a share certificate - which i dont have - it also says 'Nominee Sales - If we hold your stock in our nominee company the delivery will be effected on your behlaf and no action is required by you' ---- Is this relevant to me? Do i just wait for my cheque to be posted out? - any idea how long it should take?

Yes, unless you specifically asked for a certificate you won't have one and your shares will be held in the nominee account.
Mine went through very smoothly when we sold just before Christmas, the letter arrived the day after the sale and the cheque came 2 days after the settlement date just in time to sit in a drawer until after Christmas. Dohh! No-ones fault but otherwise very smooth, sure it will go the same for you.
