several questions..help appreciated!..

Hi,
Hope someone can help..please be gentle with me!
I have been aware of PPI reclaiming for ages and its not really occurred to me to check my own credit agreements. I suppose it has seemed like hard work.
Anyway, I have decided to look as I have a debt management plan in progress and was hoping to reduce the balance on some of what I owe.
Now I have an existing loan with Natwest (I have my current account with them) and also have 2 previous loans each loan used to pay off the next loan if you know what I mean.I have never paid late or defaulted on any of these. I cannot find the credit agreements for any of them. Obviously I know the account no for the existing one but not for the previous 2. Do I need the acct numbers when I write to ask for copies of the credit agreement and how can I get them? I have checked my credit report on equifax and it only gives the last 4 digits. Also when I write do I ask for all 3 copies or do I send seperate letters for each request.
I also know that I paid PPI on several store cards/credit cards but do not have the credit agreements.
Now my final question is, can I reclaim on all of them or do I have to choose which one to do?
before anyone tells me off for not keeping my credit agreements, I realise it is stupid of me :o
I hope this makes sense, appreciate any advice, thanks :D

Why do you need the agreement? You certainly do not need them to make your complaint.

Again, you do not need any agreements to make a complaint.

  • Hi there

You will need the account numbers they often send the requests back asking for them if you don’t include them. There are a few ways that you can get the numbers. Firstly you could just call the bank and ask for them, more often than not they will give them to you over the phone. If they cant do this then you can send them a subject access request (SAR) there is good template letter on this forum on a sticky titled SAR template letter. This will cost you £10 but it will give you everything they hold on you including statements and CC agreements. If you bank online then you could try going through these statements some internet banking accounts go back for a couple of years. You will need to sent £1 per agreement that you want but you can ask for it in one letter if its to the same bank.
If you know that you were paying PPI then you don’t need the credit agreements you can just fill in the ombudsman questionnaire.
    Hope this helps :)
  • thanks for your replies. I need a copy of the credit agreements of the first 2 loans to double check that I was paying PPI. I am pretty sure I was as I recall being told that I had to have it to have the loan but don't want to look like an idiot if I didn't!
When I asked about choosing which one to claim I meant as I have several claims to make with different people can I have several different claims on the go at the same time?
Also with the three loans with natwest I take it I make seperate claims for each one?
thank you for your help :D
