Hi, I'm hoping to start 4 units of a Level 3 ILEX course which will enable me to complete the Law Diploma which they offer (I already completed the previous units whilst at college 10 years ago). I'm 26 and have GCSEs so my college have basically said that there's no help available to me for the course fees.
My husband is in the army so is on a pretty decent wage on paper but unfortunately due to our stupidity a lot of our monthly income is straight out again on debts. However, because of his wage I'm not able to get JSA which would result in a huge reduction of fees from the college. I have contacted a couple of trusts with regards to grants but have not heard back from them and am not holding out much hope as I'm no one special!
I have asked for an application form for a career development loan but again not sure whether I will be accepted for this as I have a pretty poor credit history.
I'm not really able to get a job (I have been trying) as I need a wage that will cover my childcare costs and have some left over and as my childcare costs would be extortionate no one is willing to pay me that much as I've been out of work for nearly 3 years.
I am desperate to finish my studies so I'm able to get a decent paying job with further prospects, we want to start saving for a house deposit as soon as our debts are paid off and without a secon income I can't see that this will happen!
Are there any avenues with regards to funding that I've missed and maybe eligible for? Sorry if I've waffled but wanted to try and get all the details in!

I would really try to find a job before committing to more study. Even when you have your diploma you will be competing against graduates who are unable to get training contracts, the market is extremely competitive.0

Can you do a distance learning/part-time course? This would allow you to care for your kids and/or work while studying.
Can you access childcare arrangements through your partner's employer?
