Hi, I'm waiting to be migrated over to esa, My normal review was due last october as yet I have heard nothing, i understand there's a backlog but it's been almost a year, I was led to believe that people were being asked to attend medicals based on there normal review date, has anyone else had to wait this long? should I get in touch with the dwp? thanks.

Some of the review dates have been reset because they are reviewing some categories of claimant before others ie. those who claim IS as well might be before those who just claim IB on its own.Hi, I'm waiting to be migrated over to esa, My normal review was due last october as yet I have heard nothing, i understand there's a backlog but it's been almost a year, I was led to believe that people were being asked to attend medicals based on there normal review date, has anyone else had to wait this long? should I get in touch with the dwp? thanks.0 -

Mine was due last October as well but heard nothing. In June I was called in to see the chap who deals with Incapacity Benefits and he just checked through my claim my meds general health ect and he told me I would receive a form to form to fill in for the transference to ESA sometime in the next three years if at all. So tbh honest I wouldn't chase it up just wait for them to come to you. I think their doing the newer claims first. I dont know about you but waiting for them to call for you is very stressful to say the least

I think they are doing the exempt catagory first, and doing it alphabetically. I say this because I was exempt on IB and my surname starts with a B, and I received the first letter in April. A friend of mine is exempt and her surname starts with P and she hasn't heard anything yet.
I may be wrong but that's my (conspiracy) theory

Thats not right as I know people with surnames beginning with letters at the end of the alphabet who have already had their ESA50's.
I was exempt as I was too disabled to have a medical and later HRC DLA and my surname is sunny like my user name and Ive heard nothing yet.0
