Will CCJ (satisfied) stop me opening new account ?

Options
I have been charged £1100 in default penalties. HSBC when challenged returned £350-00. I am not satisfied with this and intend to go back full six years. I am preparing for them to close my accounts by opening new business and personal accounts with Barclays but I am concerned they will reject my application when they carry out a credit search. I have one satisfied CCJ.
Any ideas or solutions

  • These companies want your money. There are special accounts, probably offered by the same bank, which should be able to get you an account in almost any financial circumstance!

I'd say speak to the bank.

All advice given by thekid is in good faith but remember these important facts:
    1. I'm lucky enough to live in Scotland(Scots Law may apply)...
    2. My motto is "What's the worst that can happen" you've seen the kids in the Comic Relief clips, is it to that scale? Then get a grip!
    3. It's only money...no really(see #2)
    4. I'm only a plumber...
