This thread is slightly more DIY than tech but thought this would be the best place to post it.
I am moving into a new student house which comes with wireless. However, I am a desktop PC user so will require a LAN cable from router to PC. Obviously I can buy this cheaply off eBay but does anyone know any decent ways of securing it to door frames and skirting boards without causing too much damage. Or is blue tac the best option?

That's what I use for my cat5e cabling, 6mm is normally enough, 5 would probably do too. Not sure how you'll get on with it in student accommodation though.http://towsure.com/images/products/3685/detail/tack-cable-clip-pack-10.jpg - Box of these would do.0 -
You can get a USB wireless adapter for less than a tenner, and you won't have a problem with your deposit if you damage the paintwork.0

what about insulating tape :P
But if you worrying about how things look i guess you want 10 lines of black tape keeping a cable up :P.0 -
Homeplug adapters are mega thats what i use
Get Appletv2 & XBMC in and thank me later :beer:0 -
You can also get ethernet wireless access points which give better options for position within the room.
or use another wireless router (as an acess point) these are the sort of things people have spares after changing ISP's.0
