    Not as far as I'm aware. Zero rating applies to any equipment and appliances designed solely for use by disabled people, so ;

    - adjustable beds, chair lifts, hoists and sanitary devices
    - alarms / ramps, doorways and passages / bathrooms, washrooms and lavatories / lifts
    - motor vehicles, even boats etc

    A boiler, the one you buy, can be bought and used by an able bodied person so it does not constitute goods or services designed, or prior to supply is substantially and permanently adapted, for use the disabled.

    Other posters may have a different view on HMRC exclusions.

  • Yes you will be paying VAT as not specialist disability equpiment.
    Just a little tip though ensure you get friends etc on board in advance to move anything prior to instalation in moving things eg emptying airing cupboard. I didnt and had to do tasks in short space of time that really wasn't in my best interests health wise. Also be aware of fumes when the work is going on if this is an issue for you.

    if you receive means tested benefits, you could apply for a warm front grant.
    though not if it is social housing. they only cover owner occupier or privately rented.
