PAP - It's usually cheaper to pay for insurance up front as there is usually at least interest charged on the payments, plus many charge a set up fee for the finance. DP was charged £25 set up fee and £49 in interest on his policy for last year!
One day I might be more organised...........
    GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb
  • Hello all,

Today I spent 50p on a magazine and 30p on a packet of crisps, so 80p in total.

We have had a dominos pizza tonight but OH paid for it so won't include it in my spends today:D

I know food shopping isnt counted, but I spent £19 on a trolly full of fruit, veg and cleaning products in Lidl. They currently have half price on all fruit and veg, which is cheap anyway and very fresh. I got a big bag of cranberries for 74p, sack of spuds for 54p, amoung many other bargains! Great opportunity to make soups and meals for work in week, thus saving more money.
Otherwise, I am going out with a budget of £5 tonight - pregnant so cant drink, will walk to oub and back with OH so might not even spend that.

Another NSD for me too (excl. food shop), so managed to come in way under budget with £7.20 for the whole week :T

PAP - it's definitely cheaper to pay your car insurance in one go. Mine is due for renewal end Jan - £494 by dd or £414 if pay in full.

  • Yay it's Friday!!!

Am chuffed with myself for my first Sunday to Friday challenge week...I gave myself £10 and spent £6.41. This included 3 no spend days (a minor miracle!) and taking lunch to work all 5 days. Thought I'd start as I mean to go on!
Do or do not. There is no try. (Yoda!)

Moozie Sunday to Friday challenge: £5 spent so far £0.
