Groupon Photograph Boudoir Voucher

My boyfriend bought me a groupon voucher for Inspire photography for a boudoir photo shoot. It says that you get one photograph of the lot printed out. I phoned to ask whether you get the rest on a CD or not but they didnt seem to know which seemed odd to me. They quoted me around £200 for 3 additional retouched prints which is fair enough given the need to retouch them but they didnt know how much for the photos in non retouched format? It seemed a little worrying to me. Has anyone else bought this deal or know anything about it?

I got Virgin experience makeover and photoshoot vouchers for my daughter and two friends for £12 each at Burlingtons in Westfields Shepherds Bush which included one A4 photo. They had a great time but obviously at that price there was a sell up of extra photos at the end by the "photo technician. I think a lot of these packages are the same and the photos were about £60 each and you could get about 30 shoots on a disk for about £250 (started off at £500 but price dropped when I was not interested) on a credit agreement. I would advise you not to take your credit card or bank details with you so you won't be tempted to buy photos. The photos are lovely and it is tempting, but I had read reviews about people regreting the experience when they had signed up for extra photos. I would say go with the mind set of enjoying the experience and getting just the one included photo. To my mind you can only display one photo, so it is best just to choose your favourite one (don't bother with a touch up, as they look good anyway) as the freebie and say no to any extras, saying you don't have a card or your bank details with you.

I'm just back from an Inspire boudoir shoot, bought through Groupon. I was at the Aberdeen studio.
You are quoted for 3 hours but in reality it will be less time than that. I was booked at 5pm but went in about 4.30. This gave me time to chill out and chat to others and get comfortable with the place. I also was given a glass of Bucks Fizz (or two!). The first hour is mainly make up and then hair, remember there is no washing facilities, it is styling only so go with clean dry hair ready for styling.

Upstairs there is a studio with a double bed, fashion wall with 4 different wallpapers than can be used for your shoot, a chesterfield chair, a union jack armchair, and a round window area. The window sill is used and there are two windows. The glass is two way which you are told about so if you're not comfortable with people in the surrounding area then please let them know. Let's face it, I was in a room in my undies with someone I'd just met so some anonymous people in flats/hotel opposite weren't going to bother me!

You are left alone for changing and then the photographer comes back in and directs you to where and what you should do. I had 3 outfits and just took jewellery with me but you can take props if you want, or I think there are some props you could use but I didn't bother asking. Anything goes regarding the outfits - apparently one girl went in wearing just a pair of pants and a necklace....I've got to say I had thought about wearing just a smile lol

When you are finished you don't get to see the finished products there and then. They reckon they took about 100+ of me and I should be contacted tomorrow to arrange a suitable time for me to go back to view and select and I've been told to expect to see about 60. You get your favourite one free in varying sizes and then the others are available at 20% off due to booking through groupon. Apparently they will send me an email with my confirmed viewing appointment and this will have the details of prices etc so I will post these when I get them.

All in all, just enjoy the experience. I wasn't nervous when I went in but by the time my make up was done I was a quivvering wreck! That all disappeared when I got up to the studio and got change though. I was told about 95% of people that go are very nervous and the girl after me said she had booked and paid for one before but couldn't go through with it. She was ready to go in when I came out so I hope she did it this time!

Oh, I was fully done, make up, hair, and photos, and out again and the whole lot took 2 hours.

Hopefully I'm going to love the end product.....then I can decide if I'm going to do it all again!

If you cancel or change your viewing appointment, all deposits will be retained by the studio and all print entitlements forfeited. This is non-negotiable and viewing and booking staff do not have the authority to overrule this decision. If you arrive late to your viewing session, we may have to postpone your appointment to later on the same day, or in some circumstances, another day.

If you have a voucher, your FREE print entitlement is for a solo shot of the named voucher holder and no other.
