Did anyone see this in the news?. Had to land in Skavsta, Sweden yesterday cos one of the motors broke. Think it was flying to Brussels. Luckily no one hurt.

The passengers will be charged extra for the "sightseeing excursion to Sweden", no doubt.0

It's early days yetThe common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -
As they didn't pre-book it they'll have had to pay double - then pay for a last minute flight from Skavsta to Brussels - and of course as they didn't print their new boarding cards in advance they'll be charged for the reissuing of the boarding cards - plus a credit card fee.The passengers will be charged extra for the "sightseeing excursion to Sweden", no doubt.0 -
I was on a Jet2 flight last week supposedly going to Manchester from Tel Aviv. We had to land in Leeds because there was traffic at Manchester and the plane didnt have enough fuel to hold. A quick refuel later and we had a 12 minute flight to Manchester.
Aren't airlines supposed to carry extra fuel???
In any case, we got there safely. Albeit quite late.0 -

Surely that depends on whether you opted to purchase the "extra fuel surcharge?"0
