    the sausage rule is the cheaper the product the cheaper the bits must be to go in it. Usually an economy product will be desinewed chicken, water, rusk, pork fat/rind and a cheap seasoning in a natural or collagen casing. Good pork trim or beef flanks cost money so don't expect it unless you are going to pay. By the way meat prices have been going up lately also. As a middle manager, i am not involved in product development but i am very aware of how it works.

    I use to have Value sausages as a student, I remember them being quite nice actually! I didn't care what was in them lol.

    Probably won't be having them again though, I rarely eat sausages these days anyway.
  • Yeuch, wouldn't touch any other sausages than my local butcher. At least I know what's in them!
