If you want 28C the Canaries is the best choice. You might get that temperature on the Algrave, but you can't count on it.
  • if you go to the canaries i would recommend the ALL Inc dream place Gran Castillo
we went there in August and it was Mega
Clean Big rooms very friendly and the food is Mega
I've been in Oct and its about 80 + with a nice breeze.....
My parents lived on the Costa Del Sol for 15 years and i regular had 80,s temp in Oct
    hth
Get Appletv2 & XBMC in and thank me later
  • Hi we are off to majorca 1 st oct it should still be nice and warm hopefully i dont want it too hot may have to put a cardigen on on a night we went in oct school hols thats end sept and it was a bit cooler on a night
  • I'd say the Canaries. Of all the three you've got the best chance of lovely weather.

Balearics in particular I'd rule out.

A return flight to Dubai with Aerosvit is floating around the £220 mark to Dubai.

Which quite honestly jizzes all over the Canary islands - Though is a tidgy bit longer than 4 hours :)

    In your opinion.

I'd MUCH rather go to the Canary Islands. And how much is Dubai going to cost once you actually get there?!
  • We're heading to Portugal next week, been keeping an eye on the temps and it's been around 26c for the last few weeks.

What about Turkey? It's currently about 30-32c at the moment.

About 4hrs on a plane (if memory serves me!)

Have you ever been to Dubai? Jameirah beach?
  • Dubai is more expensive in all fairness. So you would expect it to be nicer. Or whatever.

Depends on the OP's budget really

The Ibis Deira is around £30 per night and the metro is almost next door which gets you most places in no time at all.

It is sunny all year round (I was there about 2 weeks back and it was around fifty degrees)

Food is cheaper than in the UK if you eat at modest places or fast food joints, the main problem is alcohol. If you like a drink then bring your own, otherwise its about £7 a pint and the places where you can get it are restricted.

That said, if you are looking for a beach there are probably no beaches nicer than Jumeirah beach within 8 hours of the UK.
Again it's all personal preference, but it's my second favourite beach in the world after Unawatuna in Sri Lanka. But that's a whole different league. (Third and fourth are La isla Majures in Mexico and Clearwater in Florida) Again - Way out of budget.
