Hi all....
I was just wondering if anyone has any experience of opening an account with Santander....I applied for the 0% interest with Santander as it's a great offer 12 months interest free and they usually match your current Overdraft.....oh and you get £100 for switching and £55 if you use topcashback....
I received an email from them stating
"Next steps
As part of the account opening process we need to confirm your identity before we can open your account. To help us do this, we will need you to send us copies of some documents. "
So i'm waiting for a bank statement from my current bank to be able to send all the documents needed.
But does anyone know if this means that they've accepted me for the account? It sounds like it to me. But as you know sometimes it's just part of a process. Has anyone applied for one and been accepted etc? or did they get this far and get rejected?
Thanks in advance for your help!!

A lot of fellows nowadays have a B.A., M.D., or Ph.D. Unfortunately, they don't have a J.O.B."

On an in branch application, the inputting of ID details comes AFTER the application decision, if that helps. I would assume they use the same systems for online apps.0
