The global economy will crash this year, hence the reason that the Fed has already created a crisis center, and no, houses will not magically escape the carnage.0

It would do no harm if house prices go down a bit as, imo, they are currently way overpriced and practically impossible for FTBs. I reckon they should have some rule for people who BTL in that they should pay a deposit in the region of 40%. This would be mean that the market would be restricted to those who are serious Landlords rather than those who are in it for a quick profit. Bet the BTL buyers will be on my back now!0
