Rights on sending things back bought from online shop
cceg
I recently bought something from a well know high street brand - i bought 2 of each in different sizes to compare.
I now want to send 3 items back - keeping 4 items.
However, it says on returns paperwork that you have to pay for postage.
Its quite heavy, as all 3 items being sent back shoes and boxes and it has to be sent back signed for post.
I am thinking £7 min postage.
I thought i read somewhere that places couldnt charge you postage to send back as it was against consumer rights?
Anyhelp on this?
Thanks

They are doing nothing wrong you have to pay for return postage if its stated in there terms0

return postage is only free if a faulty item has been sent by the retailer, in your case it would be fair for you to pay the return to them.0

You likely read the retailer has to refund the original postage paid to deliver the items to you -- however, since your not returning the whole order this will not be the case.
They are within their rights to ask you to pay return costs. It's only fair!! Knowing you will be returning some, surely you would have checked first..?
Sometimes it's easier to go to an actual shop for some items, where you can physically see them.
