It was 9p in my tesco the other week, bought some for the kids to try, they weren't keen...said it was too starchy and left my daughter really bloated. Will stick with own brand normal pasta0

If a fivers worth (around 27.5kg @ 9p per 500g pack) counts as a stockpile I wonder what the word to describe the amount of pasta I have is. I'm not sure exactly how much I have at the moment but the overall weight is definitely a 3 digit number if rounded off to the nearest kg.Vampiric_Addiction wrote: »Some peoples pasta stockpile makes me feel better (worse?) about mine... a mere 3kgs of the stuff! Bless her.
Still, if it drops to the 9p end of the scale when I have cash (i.e. after student loans), I think I'll blow a fiver or so and stockpile us!0 -
Wow, we should start some sort or spread betting on the price of pasta.
We could make some (durum) dough or serious wedge (of parmesan).
Apologies for the poor gags.
Seriously I find that value spaghetti and lasagne are good, but penne can be a bit thick.Hoping this year is better than the last.

Morrisons basic pasta twists sometimes come down to 18p. In my opinion they taste fine, after all you usually smother pasta with sauce and seasoning !!0

Smart Price spaghetti is great - I have been buying it for a while now after trying it one week and realising it's no different to the more expensive 'Chosen by You' spaghetti. There is nothing better in life than writing on the sole of your slipper with a biro.....0

when Morrisons had it at 9p a packet I bought about a dozen packets for my DD she has four hollow-legged boys to fill and they wolfed it down.I don't eat a great deal myself perhaps as I prefer lasange to spaghetti or penne.I just buy what ever lasagne sheets are on offer as once its covered in sauce and meat or veg it all tastes the same to me0

Dont forget Tesco still have the wholewheat penne at 22p, picked up some more today.“A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.” - Dave Ramsey0
