How do I stop all my chome searches going through Gumtree?

Every time I search for anything on Google via Chrome it searches gumtree not the www as it used to.
Anyone any idea how I managed to get this on Chrome (its not there if I search via IE) and how I get it off again? It seems to have appeared over the last 24 hours. I've had Chrome for a few years now, other then switching from Hotmail to gmail which I did via IE (yes I have two search engines!) I have not messed with google at all.

Right click on the address bar and select edit search engines and pick Google (or Bing etc) as the default.
I hadn't realised until your post that gumtree was an option, but I have it listed too. It must have somehow been made the default search engine for you.0 -
Or do a System Restore back to a point at least 24 hours ago.No free lunch, and no free laptop

Its fine- I sorted it!
I went to the "tools" icon in the top righthand corner on the menu bar, pop up screen appears. On the list to the left hand side there were three options. I selected the first, scrolled down and could see all the options on what to search through (google, gumtree...etc etc, a few random sites!) I selected google and it seems to have been sorted.
I had tried the right-click and restarting, even installed new adware but nothing appeared on that before this- seemed the answer was right infront of my nose- can't believe I missed it so easily before!
Thanks for your help though
