Natwest PPI Claim

Hi everyone!

I'm new to this site! I am going to be a bit cheeky and ask for some advice! I took out a loan back in 2007 for £5000 plus interest over 3 years. With this loan I was told to take out a PPI policy which totalled £1136 including interest (the cheek of it, I'm told I have to take it out and they charge me interest!) Anyway, I made a complaint to natwest initially back in November last year and they sent me a letter informing that I would have to take it up with the FOS as they had placed my complaint on hold. I then escalated it to FOS. I received a letter from the FOS in June of this year informing me that the audjicator has reached a decision in my favour and Natwest would be making me an offer of goodwill and that if they did not hear from me in two weeks then they would assume I accepted an offer from Natwest and Natwest would contact me within 8 weeks with the exact details on how much this goodwill gesture would be. It stated in the letter that Natwest would have to follow the FOS guidelines of redress etc Anyway Natwest have one more week to get in contact with me about details of my offer. Does anyone have any idea of what I should do in the event I do not hear from them? And what is the likely outcome etc? Are Natwest leggaly bound to contact me within the 8 week time frame? ANy help would be much appreciated.

Thanks Kirsty

    Well done on your success!

If you hear nothing, then normally you will then contact the adjudicator dealing with your case so they will chase up for you.;)
    Good luck.
