Hello,
I'd like to buy a car from a garage in Oldham - RS Motors (Bargain Car Sales). As I live quite far (2.5 hrs away), I rang the garage and I've been told the address - 44 Eric Street, OL4 1NA.
I've checked the address and this seems to be a residential area ?!
However, is something odd about this and I'd like to ask for help... If anyone heard of them.
They don't have the V5 for the car - however, an HPI can be provided. As DVLA is about 30 min away, I did my research and I can buy a V5 from there.
What worries me is the fact that I can't find anything at all on google about this garage ?! They don't have a landline number and only accept cash or bank transfer. If is a garage, I found it a little bit odd not to accept cards payments. In this way, I get a sort of protection.
Resuming, anyone ever heard of this garage, please?
THANK YOU VERY MUCH INDEED!!!

Google maps shows it as residential so he might just work from home.0

Definately a residential address.
No V5, only cash or bank transfer so no credit card protection and only a mobile number.
Personally I wouldn't trust a dealer who operates this way.0 -
Oldham - isn't that where the M62 is cobbled?
Seriously, don't touch it with a bargepole (the car - not the town)."There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. We shall never see their like again". O S Nock0 -
I've noticed the residential area myself.
Anyway, that doesn't necessary means a garage cannot be over there. Anything sounds dodgy but I was hoping I can find someone who lives nearby...0 -
I do wonder sometimes....Went shoplifting at the Disneystore today.
Got a huge Buzz out of it.0 -

I'm scared that you think you can just "buy" the V5 from the DVLA...0

Hi, I visit a client in that area and don't know of any garage round there. I don't know of a garage by that name in the Oldham area at all and it's not in the yellow pages or thompson directory either.
BTW, anyone an buy a HPI check online (but all it tells you is if there is any finance owing on the car- not who the owner is), but you can't just buy a V5- the seller has to sign and send off theirs with your details on it as the new legal owner. If he doesn't have the V5, he ain't the owner- and therefore not entitled to sell it.Halifax Credit Card: [STRIKE]£4915[/STRIKE] NEXT Directory: [STRIKE]£1980[/STRIKE]JD Williams: [STRIKE]£1984[/STRIKE] British Gas: [STRIKE]£394[/STRIKE] First Direct [STRIKE]£2985[/STRIKE]Debt-free for over 2 years now!!! :j0
