ESTA enquiry

I went to America last year and completed the ESTA form and am going again in a month's time; however, I've lost my original ESTA number. Should I re-submit my details on the ESTA site or is there a way I can contact the Embassy and see if they can retrieve my details?

Comments

  • Go to the ESTA website and there is a way to retrieve your previous approved application. I just did it the other day and it worked fine - you just need to input your name, date of birth and passport number.

You don't need your ESTA number or a copy of it. It is held electronically and is valid for 2 years or until the passport expires.
  • Thanks both, really appreciate your assistance! I'm going to go on the site now just to double check it's still valid (I can't see any reason why it shouldn't)!!
  • I've checked my details and this time round I'm travelling on a different airline and going to two different parts of the US, should I resubmit my application?

Only the details marked with a red * are mandatory, the rest are optional.

I used to change my flight and accommodation details when the ESTA first came out, but I haven't bothered for ages and it's never been a problem.
