Tax Credit Underpayment due to their error

hi just wanted some advice, at the beginning of june 2011 i was recieving the basic amount of tax credit approx £10 a week, this was the correct amount, my payments suddenly stopped i spent the next 3 1/2 months making calls and being given incorrect information, first told yes it was their error they would need to send a form to reverse this incorrect decision and my payments would resume very quickly 4 weeks later and 4 more phone calls was told i had been repeated been given incorrect information and would need to complete a new form and they would send me this. I waited another 4 weeks to geet this form and finally recieved it and returned it straight away. All the time i was being told i would recieve my back pay up to 3 months, i finally got my award of just over £10 2 weeks ago but am now being told i would have to wait until the end of the tax year for the money they owe me as they are working off an estimate for 2011-2012 earnings and when they have this at the end of the tax yr i will recieve this money back, however i have complained and again they have admitted errors have been done but they still wont pay the money they owe me until the end of march 2012. My earnings for 2010-2011 are below the threshold and i am now working 10 hours less per week so will be earning even less for 2011-2012 but this makes no difference any one with any ideas how i should proceed now thank you for your time on this matter :j

If you give an estimate and they pay you based on that, they won't backdate to the start of the year. But if you are being paid based on last year's income they should. Did you earn over £40k last year?0

no i earned less than 40k last year and will be earning even less this year but they still wont pay the back pay when it was their error0 -
Don't get it then. Is this a new claim this year (ie April onwards) or a renewal? WHat error did they make? Have they got your correct income for 2010/11?0
