I have to disagree with you about over use of the campbells coupon putting and end to coupons. It’s likely to lead to more coupons in safe coupon style with product AND tracking barcodes on them AND logging your IP form coupon printing software to limit the number of coupons you can print. Maybe even tills connecting to safe coupon database with tracking barcode to see if a coupon has been used yet and if not mark it as used in the database to prevent reuse. If they bring in that function they could at the same time automate shop payment from coupon makers by the shop sending details of which account to credit the payment into.
But while newspapers and magazines still have coupons printed in them you will always have untrackable coupons and people that will use as many as they can get their hands on: 3, 20 or even 100 of the same coupon
And for those that care or are intrested about barcodes
13 digit barcodes that start with 99 like 9914096299990 (tesco price check £9.99-£20) 9918460410820 (campbells 82p) 9905918291000 (honey shreddies £1)
it is the last 4 digits that count forget about the number on the end that is the check digit and is there to check the barcode scans correctly (the till does some maths on all the other numbers and generates a number that must match the check digit) the other 3 digits are the price in pence 100 for honey shreddies, 082 for campbells, all tesco price check vouchers £9.99 or above have 999 and need staff to enter correct amount. And if you get a voucher with 000 it will require the staff to read the voucher and enter the amount0 -

Thats really interesting! I never knew that! (obviously there will be some manual overrides like when prices go up or when theres an offer?)
So its only for bar codes starting 99, I will remember that. How does that work with the shreddie one though, doesnt that make them £9.10 or am I being thick?0 -

No you are not being thick I missed one digit off the end so highlighted the wrong bit. nice catch time for me to edit and fix.0 -
My kids had the tomato one today and they both said it taste like the creamy tomato pasta sauce I use when I make tomato pasta bake. I must admit it did have the same consistency and also smelt the same. I usually pay around £2 a jar for the sauce so will defo be stocking up on these :j0

Picked up another three cans today to add to my haul. Now have 13 in the cupboard. Not going mental on these though as I don't think they're very nice when compared to Heinz.:money:I'm not a friend of Martin's, I AM Martin. Just not THAT Martin. :money:0
