Coop department stores

The Coop intends to close all its department stores by February 7. As a result, all stock is currently being liquidated. Discounts on items increase week-on-week, with most items at least 50% off at my local Dartford store. Loads of clothing bargains to be had and also in kitchen equipment.

There was another forum on this, Newcastle and Gateshead stores are some of those affected. We were in Newcastle store a couple of weeks ago, some bargains but not much left on some floors.

The one in east kilbride is closing too in feb but what weve heard is the liquidators are dictating prices and bringing in stock from elsewhere to clear kidding people on that its co-op stock, and what ive seen in ours is the sale isnt very good, on a few occasions ive been in looking for ie hoover, kettle, microwave the prices have been over inflated and then reduced to other shops non sale prices the dyson dc08 was reduced to £220 which really isnt too good, bargains to be had elsewhere.
The more i save the more i can spend:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
  • Hi To All

I work for the co-op on their distribution side, The co-op is doing great, they decided four years ago to cut their losses on the dept stores when they brought out alldays and are currently looking to buy out another chain of stores.

The dept stores where only breaking even as to olod fashioned so they are seling all their properties which are owned and worth millions.

    Have fun fighting for bargains.
