Quick question on addresses

Hi all, hope you are all enjoying your weekend. Did a quick search on here but none of the threads seem to have what I am after.
Basically, I have been sent on a 12 month secondment to another region in the UK for my job, and I am rather reluctant to change the address for my bank statements to the new address.
I know some seller will post to another address if you ask them and the item is not expensive. But I am aware some won't.
My question is, if I add this new address to both Paypal and ebay will this make my new address a confirmed address, ie okay to post? Sorry if it is a dumb question.
