ipod dock to mobile phone connector

Dearest daughter has dropped her ipod touch in the bath and now has no use for the expensive speaker dock she has.
Is there a cable around to connect her mobile phone to the dock?
(3.5mm plug one end, and connector to fit on the male ipod dock connection)
Then she can play music from her phone.

a link to something compatable on ebay or maplins would be great

Don't give up on the iPod just yet (although don't get your hopes up).
First turn it off (if it's already off, don't turn it on). Don't plug it in to charge it or to access the data.
Bury it in dry uncooked rice (to absorb the water) for a few days.
Then see if it works.

If it still doesn't, is it in warranty? Water damage isn't covered, but Apple do sometimes replace iDevices even if the damage isn't covered under the warranty, but I doubt they would do this if it's out of warranty.

If they don't offer to replace it for free, they do repairs: http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/service/prices/#uk You'll almost certainly be able to find a third party who will repair it for a lot less though.

No idea about a cable for the speaker dock, sorry.

Every ipod dock I've seen has had a separate socket for using non-ipods with them so all that should be needed is a simple lead.

What's the make & model of the dock?
