Which car?
Options
Hi,
2 adults, 8 yr old (no booster required), 1 yr old (forward facing seat), 3 month old (rear-facing seat- for now) and double buggy. Which car? I like the Touran, but is v expensive. Would like 7 seats in case a friend or two of the 8 yr old fancies coming along. Any recommendations?

Are you looking for used or new?
'New' choices are Toyota Verso, Ford SMax and facelifted Touran (big bonuses on the new ones if registered by 31/3/07).
Used Tourans still sell well..if they have the 105ps diesel engine or the 140ps diesel.
What is your ideal budget and do you need a petrol or diesel?“Official Company Representative

Mazda 5 is good for us ..
2 adults, 3 kids, occasional extra school fiends (whoops, sorry .. friends) to transport. Kids fight to get in very back row - so must be comfortable (I wouldn't know - I'm the one holding the wheel thing in the front!)
All 5 rear seats fold flat and give you an enormous space - you don't have to find anywhere to store the seats either.
Diesel version (which we have) very good on fuel economy.
We have all 7 seats up most of the time so we can spread out - but if we have lots of luggage we drop the two very back seats and put the kids in the middle row - like most 7 seater 'cars' there's not much room behind the 3rd row for luggage when the seats are all upright.
Great car though - I really love it - sliding doors are great too - no more worries about the kids dinging other cars in carparks - and although ours are too tall to need car seats - if we did have a baby seat to deal with it would be really easy!:D0 -
Well thank you both so much for your suggestions. My perfect budget would be as cheap as possible! But I suppose I am looking to get something for less than £10,000 that is economical (well, as much as it can be for a 7 seater). Loving the suggestions though. LOL about the 'fiends'!0
