claimsguys

Hi, I have had a sucessful claim with Barclays, but I used a CMC, my complaint about them is.
1, they never told me there was other ways claiming money.
2, I never got any information about their charges in writing and certainly never told it was subjected to VAT.
3,they cold called me on my mobile.
4, since getting my pay out they have rung none stop everyday but never leave a message, (can not answer during working hours)
5, they want over £1100 which i don't think they've earned considering they never fulfilled their contract as in they said i would be paid out within 6 weeks, claim was put in last year.
6, I also think its unfair that you should be charged percentage on full amount even though there is tax to pay on interest.
7, they rang on the day they received the offer and asked if i wanted to pay there and then, so pleased i didn't.
8, once they put the claim in I never heard a thing from them, not even a polite update.

Has anyone got any ideas on how I should go forward with this.

I think you will have to put this down as a bad experiance as you probably signed paperwork to the affect that you agree to the charges levied here,

The average cost from these firms is approx 20%

Unfortunately you seem to have applied for PPI without first understanding what you were agreeing to and then repeated your mistake by signing up with the CMC without first understanding.

    Can you prove that?

Does it not say on the contract you signed?

You should have thought about that before you signed.

par for the course with claims companies. After all, most only stick a stamp on your envelope.

I have been cold called by claims guys and told I could claim against myself (I'm an IFA and do my own insurances) and was told I was mis-sold (how can you mis-sell to yourself!). So, I don't doubt what you say. However, it is a bit late to be complaining about it now.

it was all verbal, the only contract i signed was to give them permisson to work on my behalf, nothing on the contract about amounts i.e. their charges. If i have to put it down to experience then so be it, but i have been reading up details from the ministry of justice. I just hope people read all this and don't make the same mistake.
