F&H (Foehn & Hirsch) sat nav, offset screen normal?

Hi, Does anyone have the F&H (Foehn & Hirsch) sat nav GPS35LS (ebuyer 239235). I reckon the screen on the one I have is offset from central. Is this the same on all or is mine faulty?

If you start GPS and go to the menu then what you see is a top bar, Menu, plus large buttons Go to, Settings, Map Options, and at the bottom Exit. I can see a white line at the top but it looks low. I can see a wide black bar above it. Left and right I can see the white line edges of the buttons with a thin black bar. I can't see the white line at the bottom of the exit button. It looks to me as though the screen is not central and the bottom of the screen is cut off. Are they all like that or just mine?

Yes. Hole on the side poke with a pin job. Tried that makes no difference. Didn't expect it too. I think the physical screen is in the wrong position.

It seems a bit unlikely to be physically in the wrong position.

I'd guess that it's more likely that something has messed up the screen resolution settings. I don't know Win CE 6.0 at all, so can't say where the screen settings are, but you might find out with a bit of Googling.

I'd have said it is more unlikely to be a display issue. All screen seem low and this is an LCD. The pixels are physically fixed. It's not like a CRT where you can move the display. Usually there would be a gap between the case edge and the 1st or last pixel. This isn't a gap. True the display could be 1-239 lines not 0-239 lines but then you see a gap before the case edge.
  • Hi Malc,

I've just got mine today. There is a very small gap at the top which isn't actually that noticeable. On the map screen the Longitude and Latitude and mph are clearly visibly at the bottom of the screen below the map.

My problem was finding a folder into which I had to put my music tracks but experimented and found transferring direct to the satnav itself (FFAT) worked fine. There doesn't seem to be a specific folder for music and I'm guessing for pictures and videos too.
