Not had any dealings, but refer the matter to consumer Direct for further help. What you are entitled to will depend upon the circumstances.

I ordered a suite guarenteed delivery before xmas and it didnt come until 09/01.

Fora while staff at lol even denied having such an offer, even saying why would they have an offer that was so far out of their control (ie suppliers and weather at sea) ! Finally the store manager admitted this was an offer after about 15 minutes talking to him.

Anyway complained to area manager who wrote back to say that their was this offer but their suppliers let them down and i will not receive any compensation.

Have emailed lol asking how i can escalate further as not happy with response as it contains several inaccuracies and my contract is with lol not their suppliers.

How can they guarentee something then when it doesnt happen basically say tough?

    No, they're not related.

Both existed at the same time, but the WOL went into liquidation a few years ago. :)
You can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset. ;)

It might be best to let the repair man come out, if its sagging is could be the webbing thats gone.

Our leather suite had the same problem and when the repair man came you could clearly see it was a design fault as when you sat on it it made the webbing rub against a wooden strut and slowly was cutting it in half, if i had exchanged wouldnt have solved the problem, he made the repair by adding loads of webbing and putting some cardboard on the wooden strut so it wouldnt happen again, the sofa is alot better than before, had no problems since

Yes, I bought a suite from them and have had no problems at all (apart from the cat using it as a scratching post! )

Write to him again, saying that you are not satisfied with his response.

c.c. to the Managing Director, and I'm sure he'll think again. ;)

I had a problem with Furnitureland, and wrote and asked for my delivery charge to be refunded. The store manager sent me an apology of sorts, but no refund. I sent the following letter:

    Dear Mr xxxxxxxxxx,

Thank you for your reply to my letter of 1st August. However, I do not feel that you have given reasonable consideration to my complaint, or a satisfactory response.
As I pointed out in my original letter, “motorway problems” do not account for a 6-hour delay. In addition, there were no significant delays on the local motorway network on the day in question. I feel that once again, I am being fobbed off with a stock excuse.
I appreciate that you do not offer a timed delivery service. However, I am more concerned about the lack of communication than the lateness of the delivery. Despite a 6-hour delay in my delivery, no attempt was made to contact me. I was also promised that I would be advised of an approximate delivery time on the morning of the scheduled delivery day. No call was made. How then can you justify your statement “…whilst always trying to keep our customers informed”? This is clearly not the case.
Your letter also makes no mention of the treatment I received from your staff when I enquired about the whereabouts of the delivery.
On the Furnitureland website it states: “As a member of Qualitas we will provide trained courteous staff, accurate delivery information and efficient after sales service”. As I have received none of these, I would be grateful if you could reconsider your response, and refund my delivery charge. I do not wish to have to pursue the matter further.

    Yours sincerely,

Refund by return of post. :D
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.
