Car finance PPI - sneaky reply or not?

Hi

Friend bought car on finance from Garage.

One salesman sold the car and arranged the finance

3 mins later was introduced to "collegue" who sold her PPI

Garage written to requesting PPI back, garage reply - Farifax the company that sold the finance also provided the PPI and its nothing to do with us .

So...is the garage responsible for the mis-sell, or do we write directly to Fairfax HQ the provider of the finance.

My feeling is regardless of an outside broker being the finance company to sell the finance and PPI, it was there it was mis-sold, on the garages premises.

ANy thoughts would be gratefully received, thanks

The complaint is against the company or whoever they worked for.

If you think about it, it could not be against the owner of the premises or any complaint about a sale where the customer was in their own home would have to be rejected on the grounds that it was their own fault.
