funny this cropped up
just tried to transfer 2 grand away from my barclays account into my hsbc , to transfer i need to use one of their plastic card readers which i did , every time i tried it came up with wrong generated code and now im locked out ,,,,go figure , it seems barclays really want to keep there hands on the cash , point of posting ? if it were a larger amount id go into a branch and look someone in the eye , take a photo id and a bill as there bound to ask0 -
Why not - I've always found them very efficient and easier to contact than the local branch PRM.
I do not feel comfortable in telling someone over the phone that I have a big amount of money to be paid into my account. I am pretty sure these call centres are not totally fraud proof..I would be happied going to a scheduled appointment where at least there is a trail (or the bank cctv showing the customer visiting at a certain time etc etc).
It would be great if an hsbc member of staff on here could tell me if any branch can deal with this sort of query.0
