Contribution based JSA ending - what now?

Hi,

I am hoping someone can advise as to what I do next. I got made redundant earlier this year (after 17 years of working) and have been claiming contribution based JSA. I have received a letter that this is now ending, what can I do next? My husband is working but we will be struggling. I have 2 children so receive child tax credits but was wondering wherego from here. Thanks for reading.

As yoir husband is working there is no other benefits you can claim as an individual. All benefits would be based on the household income. It is worth checking with the turntous site and see if you would get any help with rent etc or an increase in tax credits (given that it would be based on the income before you were made redundant)
  • Thanks Caz 3121, I thought as much. Thanks again
