Sat/Sun 10th/11th Sept - What small DFW things will you do today?!

-
Hello all DFW small thing peeps
Wannabe - sorry about your cat
Late start to today as was up in the night fretting about little things which always seem better in the morning!
So far ...- checked bank - getting a bit close for comfort with payday next week ; read riot act to OH re pocket money (his not DSs!)
- finished meal plan for next week and put up on fridge (immediate crowd of DSs to see what's on offer!)
- hokey cokey well underway but tumble drier very much in action
- food shopping done, stuck to list pretty much and came in 1.07 over allowed budget. Didn't however buy any big things like washing powder etc. Have really noticed big leap in cost of food
- bm on for granary loaf this time
- omlette for lunch to use up some eggs; I dare not tell you the sell by date
- downloaded free moneywise app to try to track what I spend on silly bits in the week; perhaps if I have to record it might make me think twice ( doesn't work with food and myfitnesspal though !:rotfl:)
- watch strictly :j (not particularly DFW but makes me happy)
- read a chapter of declutter book and chose a cupboard to tackle
- put all HC away and decide if DS#3 really needs new socks or whether he's just been squirreling them away somewhere
- work out how moneywise app works
- fill in form which might mean teeny bit more money at work
- bake some twinks or similar for DSs snacks in week
- check I have all I need for Bagpuss' steamed pudding which was a hit last week
- cover at least one hundred exercise books in sticky back whatsit as seemingly DS#3 can only cover himself in it not the books
- go through purse to put spare change in cyberman
- empty work bag and throw away things I don't need, aim being to carry less clart around
- decide whether to apply for new job; less money and further to travel so seems a no brainer but this one is not very joyful atm and not completely secure
- read more about mindfulness and decide whether to do course; will need to find a few things to ebay if I do it as its ££
- text sister to see if she's been blown off campsite in Cornwall
- sparkle, sparkle, sparkle
Oh, it is nice to be back
this is such a great thread

Morning all!
Woke up at normal time for work and can't get back to sleep so I'm up:mad:
A good thing I suppose - I can walk the dog and get a few bits done before the Welsh rugby match at 9.30. Not very confident about it - playing South Africa - but we'll see what happens.....
Other things to do today....- Take dog to the park for a run in the wind
- All food from stores
- Dye hair
- Put dry washing away
- Write 6th form lessons
- Write a couple of GCSE biology lessons for the future
- Have a LSD
- Maybe start painting bathroom with left over emulsion and gloss from summer decorating
- Phone carpet fitter to see if he will fit a remnant for me (bathroom is only tiny)
- Stay in tonight and watch soaps and Fred West thing
- Get clothes ready for the week
- Have a look to see if I can find anything to ebay towards Xmas fund

Me too! Very annoyingWelshWoofer wrote: »Woke up at normal time for work and can't get back to sleep so I'm up:mad:- Have got hokey cokey underway ; the amount of washing I do must make it seem like we are a very grimey family. Unfortunately I think it's just an easy way for DSs to 'tidy' up (rofl); bung in laundry basket. Need to have words me thinks.
- Must choose exercise of torture for today. After nearly killing myself with couch to 5k yesterday might do a Rosemary Conley more gentle movement to music! Done, much easier and less public puffing and panting!
- Sunday lunch from meal plan ; OH normally cooks this but he's watching some game with an odd shaped ball this am so might fall to me
- Sort cash needed for the week so all in appropriate pots or pockets
- Get DSs to keep up to date with hmk. MSE in the sense they might then do well, get a good job and LEAVE HOME!
- Try to relax and read a fiction book. All my reading lately has been about saving money, getting fit, decluttering, eating better, and work stuff. Need a bit of light relief.
- Sparkle, sparkle, sparkle
PS How many calories are there in a chocolate sardine?
All done ( well, just finishing HC) so bath and early night with book planned for later !
Only :-( was needed new windscreen wiper for car so had to fork out for that
Getting there...slowly!

Morning everyone

I've been up early too and I am debating where to go shopping today- where will I spend least money?- Think I'll check out their offers before I go and make a decision from there.
Today's list:- Go shopping- spend as little as possible
- make lunch and dinners from stores
- visit MIL
- Move money around to appropriate budgets
- home insurance due next month- research that use quidco if cheaper
- check banking/emails/surveys
- buy petrol and put air in my tyres

Afternoon All,
Thanks to Perni for starting the thread
Wannabe – sorry to hear about your cat
Hugs to those who need them and hello to any newbies
Yesterday and today I have/will do:
• Meals from stores
• NSD
• Look into selling old textbooks as they are not needed any more – on my list from last week but I will actually list them this weekend
• Watching things on sky box rather than going out
• Read newspapers online
• Checked online banking – no change
• Done a couple of surveys
• Drink plenty of water
• Take meds to sort out hormones
• Put washing on at 30 degrees
• Fill in online and paper food diary
• Went to the gym (not pretty but necessary)
• Will be baking cakes this afternoon (carrot cake and blueberry and lemon cake) – will be healthy as reducing sugar used in the recipie and it’s cheaper than buying a cake for the week
Have a fabby one!
