If you are being scammed on that sort of basis then I suggest you need to go back to the basics as there is never a need to lose money on a non delivered item. However, once again the advice here will be from an ebay uk point of view

Well, I was planning on tossing a brick in a box and sending it signature required so I could recoup some of my past losses, but then I discovered I can't even blackmail the buyers with negative feedback anymore. There goes that plan...

Didn't notice this was the UK ebay forum. The little spinning Doctor Who guy should have tipped me off :money: Anyways, thanks for the advice, all. I will try ebay again and see what happens.

"You purchased the item on eBay by using the Pay Now option or an eBay invoice."

Does this mean if it was an auction, and not a Pay Now, the buyer can't file a claim?

You're confusing 'Pay Now' with 'Buy it Now'. The 'Pay Now' button is shown once an auction is won, so what you are referring to quotes equally to auctions as well as Buy it Now listings. The reference to Pay Now and invoices is making it clear that people need to go through eBay for the protection, rather than to send a standalone PayPal payment.

Ah, such a shame... Plan B down the drains
