Knocking noise on front wheel

Hiya

Ive a 55 plate vectra and tonight it has started to make a knocking noise. I will take it to the garage next week but the one in my village inst open over the weekend.

It only happens when i go over a road hump or over the crest of a sharp hill. Had a look under the wheel where the noise is coming from and cant see anything that looks wrong.

To satisfy my curiosity before next week any ideas what it could be?

Check the drop arms, about the right age for that car.

Regardless should be fairly easy for the garage to tell you.

Whatever it ends up being from all the suggestions so far (any of which it could be), you should get change out of £100.

Bushes on mine need the subframe dropping. Sub £100 would be a dream.
Zaffy, not a Vectra, but the bits are cheap enough for both.
