I'm wanting to put a few films on my video ipod the problem is as with dvd's the menu at the begining. When the menu comes up there is no way of selecting play movie with the ipod's click wheel.

So what I was thinking of doing is cutting that bit out and going straight into the film. Is this possible? I have Roxio which is have done similar things with audio but when i've looked into it regarding dvd films i'm struggle.

Any ideas?

aparently dvd dycrpter can do it.

Ok I've got dvd decrypter But how do I know which vob files (if it is vob files to delete so the film starts after the menu has been up?

Use DVD Shrink in re-author mode to rip just the movie to your hard drive

DVDecrypter will automatically select the longest "track" on the DVD which is usually the movie, leaving out all DVD "extras"

DVD Decrypter is good for copying DVD's but personally I always use DVDShrink to remove menus etc. It is far easier. You can also remove subtitles, foreign language audio tracks etc. and reduce the size (and quality) so it will fit on one disc or in your case fit more on your Ipod.
