WTC / CTC not paid - bank charges & no money

Basically I haven't been paid. According to my renewal notice I should have been paid last Friday (02/09) but wasn't, so I left it another week in case it was paid today, but it wasn't. I have borrowed all I can & have been charged loads in bank charges & bounced cheques.

Called & spoke to a really unhelpful person who told me I'd be paid within 30 days & there is nothing they can do about my bank charges. Is this true?
It seems completely unfair - I get my tax credits as I don't have enough money to live on, & now thanks to their error, I'm going to have to pay more than a quarter of it out in charges! I just won't have enough to survive. Can I do anything? Please?

If they are saying that it could be up to 30 days before they can pay you again and they failed to abide by the latest award notice you were sent then tell them you are facing hardship and ask for a hardship payment in the interim. In certain circumstances they can pass your details on to the National Payments team who will consider your request.
