I would have thought that most bottled beers and ciders do not contain any living yeast, as they kill it before bottling, this is to stop fermentation in the bottles, to stop explosions, etc.
Obviously some is still living in these particular bottles. This is the problem.

There are some beers that I know of that have living yeast in them and they are called bottle conditioned, I presume they monitor the amount of sugars in the beer when they bottle it, so that the pressure won't build up too high.

Please could anyone tell me if Stella Cidre is still available to buy? Have new ones been delivered to stores yet that are safe. It's Hubby's birthday soon and these are his favourite so wanted to get a few. Thanks a lot in advance

If its available in stores then yes the stock will be safe to drink,
