A friend and I have seen a holiday with Travelscope that we really fancy. It seems incrdibly cheap for what it offers, so we're a little nervous about booking.

Can anyone recommend them please, before we spend all our hard-earned??

Haven't travelled with them but they're a reputable company — ABTA members as well as offering the standard ATOL and IATA protection...

I have travelled with them on a number of occassions and found them to be very reliable and professional. All my trips were either BOGOF or £99 p/p excellent value for money.

my mum used to work for them in their brochure production dept when they were still in their infancy..........as they grew we went on a few trips with them and they were always pretty good so would recommend them if they have a short break your interested in.

Thanks to all of the people who took the time to reply.

I emailed them a question on Monday of this week about one of the holidays in their current brochure and have had no reply as yet, which was worrying me a little, but now I'm inclined to believe they're busy so I'll be patient and wait a little longer.

We went on a Travelscope trip to Germany, New Year just gone. After very good service during the booking procedure, the actual 4 day trip was a nightmare.

Cabins double booked, coaches at Dover did not turn up on time - causing us to miss the ferry, excursions cancelled as the boat could not berth in Koblenz.
Misserable Tour Managers.

Our friends travelling on another boat had sewerage coming up through their cabin floor, they had to sleep in the Dining room for the night until they found a hotel for them.

Worst New Year holiday we have ever been on.

I was also on the new year Rhine cruise (Hi J!) and I wouldn never go with Travelscope again even though I had a good trip with them before.

Every travel company can have things go wrong but its the way that they deal with the problems that shows how good they are. Travelscopes customer service policy went right out of the window with the rudest travel rep I have ever had the misfortune of meeting. The reply to letter I sent them was a joke with them only really acknowledging one of the problems properly. They even had the cheek to say that 1 rest stop on a coach journey of over 8 hours is acceptable, quite frankly I think this unacceptable.

Thanks to Travelscope I will never travel abroad for new year again. If it wasn't for the wonderful passengers on board I think I would of got on a flight home.

Never again!
