The FSA register shows all those that were registered on or after 1/12/01. They are not on that list. So, they had already closed by then.

  • Thanks for all your help. I'll contact Zurich first and see how it goes from there.
  • Got a reply from Zurich today basically telling me that the time limit for raising my concerns has expired and they will not be investigating my complaint. They said they first made me aware of the risk in their re-projection letters sent 13 Oct 00 & 14 Dec 01 and that I had 3yrs from receipt of the 1st letter to make my complaint. I have received neither of these letters. (I have kept every letter etc relating to mortage/endowment going back to 1998). The first letter I have from them advising me of a High Risk of a projected shortfall was dated Feb 04, followed by one in Dec 04, Dec 05, and Dec 06. None of these letters mention a time limit on making a complaint. Is it right that you can only complain up to 3yrs from the 1st letter? (surely I can complain after any of them, and as the 1st one I received was dated Feb 04, then I have until Feb 07 to claim). They then advised me that they would be taking 'no further action in respect of your complaint'. Is it worth pursuing this further with the Financial Ombudsman Service? Any suggestions please!!
