Bank machines!

Today I was unfortunate enough to have my bank card ` swallowed by the Post Office machine! Outraged, I went into the P.O. to complain to be told that it had been broken all day. No one had put a notice on it.
I then went to the Abbey to get some money( using a cheque book) and was told to cancel my card. On returning to the PO I was told by one of the workers that they had ` found` my card which was duly returned to me! I spoke to the manager and expressed my frustration about the lack of a notice and was told that usually the machine registered out of order but as it was being rebooted, it looked like it was working for a short time!
No replacement card for 7 - 10 days which is very stressy! Bonus points to Abbey who were kind and helpful ( and I am considering writing a thank you letter but dont know the assistant`s name, Post Office Grrrrrrrrrrrrr!
